Lies! Trub wants them.
Tengu would be awesome though. I would like to play as them for sure.

Yeah I'd be keen purely for the fact they have the best running animation in the game and can dual wield.

Haha. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near spells that cause holy damage.
As far as the Tengu race, I don't really care if they are there or not. I'll most probably end up playing as a human. Playing as a Tengu (or Mursaat, or any other creature) may be fun and all at first, but I think the "coolness" will last only so long...

I think they've got a nice selection of races planned so far, with some that can be used for inevitable expansions (like the Tengu for Cantha and Centaur? for Elona). But maybe they will offer Tengu from the start of GW2. After all, in the Movement of the World article (originally published in the special GW edition of PC Gamer), it is explained that the new emperor forced all non-human races out of Cantha. However, it would probably be smarter to include them in a Cantha expansion as a major selling point.
I wouldn't mind the Dredge as a playable race. I mean, they're giant moles with huge drills on their heads. What more could you want? But I'm pretty happy with the Charr, and depending on how they turn out, the Sylvari.

As for the Dredge, personally I don't want them to be a race. They're big and ugly. Not exactly something I want to play to learn how to use.

Here Here to that!
Unconfirmed "races" that could/should be added to GW2 as playable: Tengu, Mursaat, Undead, Dredge(hope not), Centaur, Grawl (they are at least semi-sentient, who knows), Harpies(same as Grawl), and Naga(same as Grawl and Harpies). At least how I see it.
Most likely of that list: Tengu, Undead, Mursaat, Centaur, Dredge
And the 3 most wanted, as it seems to me, for adding to GW2 (in order: Tengu, Mursaat, Undead
So, ANet, just add those three!
I suppose that I will settle for Charr and Sylvari until the Cantha expansion comes out ...

The towns are going to look very different with the new races walking around.
I wonder if they will do something about the characters walking through each other, I realise its difficult to not have this because it would be impossible to get through crowds to access traders xunlai chests etc and esp at events.
But my thought it its going to look really bad with the disparity in sizes, I mean how long it it going to take before players take their norn character and start sitting on the asura.

Huh.
I've seen it mentioned a few times before, but I have a hard time thinking of undead as an actual race rather than an affliction on the deceased of ... various races. Maybe that's just Diablo 2 coming through though. Although the undead didn't seem to have much of a culture of any sort in GW1 either, they were just minions.
UNLESS... people are referring to Palawa Joko's horde? Those guys are pretty cool.
I'm still doubtful as to whether the Mursaat are any more likely than the Dwarves though. There could be more of them, but that's not saying much, and we can't be sure even of that.

They could add Tengu if they wanted to, but I'll probably stay with humans, maybe Charr, as I'm the most familiar with those races.

The undead were the remnants of the creatures/people who lived in Orr. The Scepter of ORR raises the undead.
I most likely will stick with a human character no matter what they offer, but Tengu seem a lot cooler than Dwarves, Asuran [who are assholes, I should add], Charr, and Norn.
What's up with people requesting non-stone dwarves? I really doubt they'd have Jalis' stone guys.

I'm assuming you mean "forgotten". And no Anet hasn't forgotten them. According to the back story they've released so far for GW2, MOST of the dwarves are frozen in stone and the "few that are left stay away from civilizations".

I can't live without the Tengu as a playable race, what if my Charr would crave for chicken wings while PvPing ?!
For a more serious note; What happened to your creativity? I want a NEW playable race that we've never seen before, now that would be awesome.
Besides, GW2 will probably be more futuristic, with professions like Mechanic (don't deny it, it's unavoidable [I don't like it either] ).
